What is a Job Capacity Assessment
A Job Capacity Assessment (JCA) is an assessment with a skilled allied health professional who assesses job seekers capacity to work, taking into consideration their individual circumstances. Wherever possible, job seekers are referred to services that can help them to address their individual needs and find and retain work.
Who performs Job Capacity Assessments
ORS employs qualified and experienced allied health professionals from backgrounds such as psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology and exercise physiology to perform our assessments. Assessors evaluate and individuals needs and their capacity to manage work, should interventions be appropriate to assist them in doing so. All assessors are skills at identifying challenges impacting on an individuals work capacity and recommending realistic and sustainable interventions.
Job Capacity Account
The Job Capacity Account is a new stream of funding from the Australian Government to help prepare individuals for participation in Job Network Services.Job Capacity Assessment providers are able to refer job seekers directly to a Job Capacity Account service provider with a concurrent referral to a Job Network Member. ORS is a provider of Job Capacity Account Services aimed at assisting job seekers to prepare for participating in Job Network. ORS’ services include:
- Counseling intervention services
- Motivational Interviewing
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Parents in the Workforce
- Work Conditioning programs
- Adjustment to Disability Counseling
- Pain Management
- Vocational Planning
