Disability Employment Services (DES) form part of the Australian Government’s employment services system.

As one of the highest performing DES providers in Australia, we employ experienced Disability Employment Services staff who can help workers, participants and eligible school leavers manage any disability, injury or medical conditions to find or maintain sustainable employment. We service all disabilities and specialise in providing services to people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and mental health backgrounds

We also work closely with employers to provide advice, support and recruitment services at no cost to help increase the employment participation of people with disability.

Our staff includes Employment Consultants, Disability Specialists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Counselors, and more.

For Employers

Our experienced Disability and Employment Services staff can help your organisation meet its recruitment needs and support you in providing employment for people with a disability. And, best of all, we’ll provide these services at no cost to you.

We have achieved our exceptional reputation in DES service provision by:

  • Helping organisations address skills shortages and providing education on the benefits of employing people with disability
  • Providing ongoing support in the workplace after job placement
  • Providing emergency assistance for workers whose job is in jeopardy because of their disability or health condition
  • Providing a mix of interventions to address vocational and non-vocational barriers

Eligible School Leavers

Would you like help preparing for work so that you’re ready to hit the ground running at the end of the year?

Being proactive will give you a big advantage over everyone else when it’s time to start looking for work. If you are eligible, we can help you secure casual or part-time work NOW in your industry of choice. This will give you valuable experience and the skills needed to obtain the best possible job when you’re ready.

We have a range of services to assist young people with disability overcome barriers to sustainable employment. From interview assistance to targeted training programs, we’ll give you the edge in the job market. Our dedicated disability employment consultants will work closely with you and your parents/guardian to understand your unique situation and build tailored solutions to get you to your goals.

Eligibility criteria apply, and you must be in your final year of secondary school and have the support of your parent/guardian and principal in order to participate.

Service Commitment

All the people we employ are chosen by us as we believe they are the right people to help you achieve your goals. We also run comprehensive training for all staff to make sure they have the skills they need to help you and that they keep these skills up-to-date. We are a proud employer of numerous employees with disability, many of whom were originally clients of ours. Many of these staff members are in senior management positions.

We are committed to providing you with the best service we can by staying up-to-date with best practice and recent research, and by striving to continually improve what we do. Our service commitment is to work in partnership with you and provide help in a way that is best for you to achieve your employment goals. We provide you with access to Allied Health services which can assist in this process. Based on the choices you make, we outline our commitment to the plan as well as your commitment to the plan in the Job Plan.

Training and Support

We are a strong believer in training and education and its benefits to helping you gain and improve skills to achieve your career goals. We spend significant funds each year supporting training and education options for our clients. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) we also understand the reasonable adjustments that can be required to ensure you are able to get the maximum out of your training.

We work to make sure that no-one can hurt you, talk to you in a way that you don’t like or disrespect you because of your disability.
