Speech Pathology
What is Speech Pathology and how can we help?
Our experienced Speech Pathologists hold a membership with Speech Pathology Australia. They can provide an extensive range of services to children and adults across the full range of disabilities, disorders and health conditions. Services include communication assessment, speech and language assessments, dysphagia and swallowing assessments as well as the development of mealtime management plans. ORS has comprehensive experience in writing NDIS reports to recommend required communication devices/systems and other essential items to assist in feeding or other speech-related areas. We provide customised social skills and communication training across all settings such as school, home, community and group home/aged care.
ORS has extensive experience working with other allied health providers, particularly behaviour support practitioners, in ensuring our services remain focused on holistic client needs and help to address challenging behaviours such as physical aggression towards self or others. As part of our services, we can develop communication dictionaries and other resources for families, staff and carers to help ensure communication between the client and others is maximised. ORS can also provide training and support in proposed communication systems and strategies to families, staff and carers.

Speech Pathology services can be funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme, My Aged Care, and privately.
